Corona = beach. Whether it’s miles away from ordinary, go someplace better or find your beach, Corona incorporates beach into every ad they do. This has been their mantra for the last 25 years and I’m proud to have helped them maintain their position as the number 1 imported beer in America. I spent 2 years working on Corona while in Chicago and loved every minute of it. Here’s some of the work I helped art direct as a young creative under the tutelage of creative director Bill Rogers, who incidently, is the son of one of the first creative directors to work on Corona. In 2016, the Outdoor Advertising Association of America honored Corona Beer with the 2016 OBIE Hall of Fame Award, recognizing the brand’s consistent excellence in OOH advertising design over many decades.
